A visual timetable will denote the sequence of activities for the group or individual. It is most important (particularly when using an individual timetable) that the symbols are manipulated by the child/ student after each activity. The symbol should be taken off the timetable and either turned over (this can be blank or have the word ‘finished’ written on the back) or in the case of the individual one, be placed in the pocket at the bottom. The child/ student (with or without prompts) can then put the next activity up or point to the next activity and say/ be told what this is.
