This half-day course will enable participants to:

  • Develop their understanding of the reasons why pupils with SEND need additional preparation for transition to secondary school
  • Look at a range of strategies which can be used to help prepare pupils with SEND for the move from primary to secondary school
  • To share ideas and experiences to affect good, consistent practice for all pupils, including those with SEND
  • To be introduced to a range of resources aimed at helping pupils achieve successful transitions

This course is suitable for professionals (SENCos, Teachers, TAs) working with SEN pupils in primary and secondary schools (mainstream or special setting)
