Monday 10th December 2018   1.30pm – 3pm

This workshop will provide insight into why people with autism often have difficulty understanding their own, as well as other people’s emotions. It will give practical advice on how you can help develop emotional awareness in your pupils through a range of activities and resources which can be easily implemented in the classroom.

Strategies covered will include:

  • Feeling boards
  • Emotion scales/ thermometers
  • Emotion books
  • The Zones of Regulation

This workshop is suitable for staff supporting pupils with emotional difficulties.
